Description: By far the most common moss in the aquarium hobby, java moss is well known for its rapid and unpredictable growth style. Such characteristics make it unsuitable for aquascaping but excellent for breeding or fry tanks. Smaller fish and shrimp that are susceptible to being eaten by larger fish will find cover most easily in Java moss.
Difficulty: As with all aquarium plants, Co2 injection and appropriate fertilisation are recommended for optimal health and growth. However, Co2 and quality lighting are certainly not necessary for this moss. It is frequently used in outdoor ponds where only indirect sunlight is available.
Sold as: Approximately 1 Golfball clump (See 1st Image)
